ADA Ramp Specifications Require a slope ratio of 1:12 that is equivalent to a slope of 4.8 degrees or one foot of a wheelchair ramp per inch of elevation. For example, a 30-inch rise requires a wheelchair ramp with a 30-foot handicap. ADA Guidelines Require a flat minimum of 5’x 5′ at the top and bottom of the ramp.
